Allergen Plan Specialist Training

After developing an allergen plan the laststep for an operation wanting to become an Allergen Friendly operation is training an Allergen Plan Specialist. Tap Series’ Allergen Plan Specialist program is designed to help you understand the role of an allergen plan specialist and provide the information needed to make safe and informed decisions or recommendations to staff and the public.

Students learn how to set-up and communicate protocols with staff, suppliers, and customers. An Allergen Plan Specialist accommodates food preparation, kitchen practices, and service. Students also learn how to read labels and create a database to track each allergen from product to menu.

An Allergen Plan Specialist will apply their knowledge of Allergen Awareness™ and Allergen Plan Development to ensure their establishment is a highly accommodating and Allergen Friendly. Completing this course will give you access to our Allergen Plan Development database with sections for a product allergen list, creating recipes, and assembling meals.
